Every bucket has a size, its quota. We bill buckets by size, per TB, and the traffic is always included. When a bucket is full, uploads fail until you delete data or make the bucket bigger.
You choose between two ways to pay. Monthly billing fits data that grows, prepaid fits a fixed amount of data for a known time.
A monthly bucket starts at 500 GB and grows up to 20 TB. You pay each month for its current size, with no minimum term.
You can change the size in the bucket settings at any time, or let autoscaling do it for you. Autoscaling checks the usage every 5 minutes. When the usage passes the upper threshold (90% by default), it adds 100 GB and sends you an email. When the usage falls below the lower threshold (70% by default), it removes 100 GB again, but never below 500 GB. Select Scale Up Only if the bucket must never get smaller.
A prepaid bucket starts at 100 GB. You pay once from your prepaid balance for a number of months, and the size and the bandwidth limit stay fixed for that time. Autoscaling is not available.
Before the end of the term, renew the bucket in its settings. The renewal extends the bucket from its current expiry date. Turn on Auto-renew to renew automatically when your balance is sufficient. We send you an email the day before the bucket expires.
Each bucket has a bandwidth limit of 100, 250 or 500 Mbit/s. It caps the speed of uploads and downloads, not the amount of traffic. A monthly bucket can change its limit in the settings; a prepaid bucket keeps the limit that you chose at the order.
The bucket page shows the used space against the quota, the number of objects and the network bandwidth over time. With autoscaling turned on, you also get an email each time the bucket grows.
